Masons Real Estate - A local success Story

1962 was a memorable year for so many reasons. The Beatles released their first single 'Love Me Do', The Rolling Stones made their debut at London's Marquee Club, the first James Bond film 'Dr No' was released, and the term 'personal computer' was first used by the media. Jim Carrey, Jon Bon Jovi, Steve Irwin, Tom Cruise and Baz Luhrmann were born. The Prime Minister of Australia was Sir Robert Menzies, The Premier of South Australia was Sir Thomas Playford. Port Adelaide won the SANFL grand final, Essendon won the VFL grand final, and Rod Laver won the Australian, French and US Opens as well as Wimbledon.

1962 was also the year that Richard Mason established RE Mason & Co in Murray Bridge, developing a staunchly local, family owned real estate agency that is still growing 50 years later.

Richard's son Robert joined the business in 1976, rising to manager in 1983. In the same year the business moved to its present site at 65 Bridge Street, Murray Bridge. In 1986 Rob purchased the business from his father, further developing property management and commercial property sales divisions.

A business that has truly stood the test of time, Masons Real Estate now employs 14 people and has recently renovated and doubled the size of its premises. With many thousands of properties sold by Masons Real Estate and around 600 rental properties currently managed, clients are assured of the same outstanding and professional service that Richard Mason strived for in 1962.
